Cousins Camp 2012

Each year we spend a week at our family cabin, just the moms, cousins, and grammie (sometimes grandpa comes too!)  This year we...

went on hikes, went to a pioneer town (oh my goodness was this place WAY COOL!) played in the forest, went on more hikes, made cool forts, discovered all sorts of waterfalls, went to a very cool park, went on more hikes, rode horses, panned for gold, made rag dolls and had tons of fun.

im in love

This week we did a Cousins Camp.  Very fun 5 days of moms and kids and grandparents.  This is our third annual.  Kids love it.  Moms love it.  Grammie ADORES every second of it.  BUT...

Now I am home.  With Kyle.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I didn't know I could be more fond of kyle than I was.   But I am.

Every day I love him more and more.

Last night we went on a date. YAY!  We go on lots of dates, at least once a week, sometimes more.  But since I hadn't seen him for 5 days, this date was even sweeter.

Kyle used to travel for work.  He was gone a ton.  But he hasn't traveled for more than a couple of days here or there in this past year.  I adore that.

I could spend every moment with that guy.  I can't wait to go on a mission with him (like away from home mission) and really "have" to spend every waking moment with him. FUN!

Kyle has his office in our house.   So in actuality we do spend a great deal more time together than the normal.

I am so lucky.  Last night  we went to Stake Conference, afterward we went to dinner, sat on the patio (my fav) and talked.

Sitting with Kyle is the best because the need to entertain the other is not that great.  We can (and have) sat in silence for hours.  Just enjoying the presence of the other.  But we hadn't really had a moment to talk since I had been home.

( We had smooched, lots! Wahoo! )

It was great to hear details about his week and tell fun stories of what our children had been up to all week.

Kyle is a C.A.T.C.H.

I don't know how I got so lucky.  This morning, laying in bed while all the house was quiet, I realized, yet again, how incredibly blessed I am to be married to my best friend, my hero, my wonderful champion.

It's true, I am in Love.

Summer Milestones!!!

Miss E learning how to wakeboard, this photo was taken before lake powell and she was still trying to figure out  everything.  This was the closest thing before Lake Powell for her to get up and now she is going and going!

Miss H has Jumped off the Diving board and swam to the edge, in the deep end!  I still can't believe it.  AND now she has jumped off the diving board, touched the bottom of the pool and then swam to the step.  She just is such a fish.

The Odd Life of Timothy Green

We got to go see a screening of "The Odd Life of Timothy Green"  -solely because of our desire to adopt and our affiliation with LDS Family Services.  The movie was a little late for the girlies, but it was something we thought worthwhile to mess with bedtime.  Boy! Was the movie BEAUTIFUL.  And the girls loved it.  I thought it might go over their heads, but they understood it all.  They came from the movie saying, "I can't WAIT for a brother or sister!"   It was a gorgeous  film about loving children and parenting.  I laughed and cried thoughout the entire film.  Now that might have something to do with my deep desire to have more children.  And because I am first and foremost in my life a mother.  I adore motherhood.  I adore my children.  The movie just evoked my strong mothering emotions.  After the movie we realized that Miss H had left one of her shoes in the theater.  Kyle ran back to find the missing item while the girls and I.... played in the fountain!  We realized quickly the sign that said, "please do not play in the fountain."  Whoops!

Do you like their outfits?  They wanted to wear "fancy" clothes, and this is what they deemed as "fancy".  You are only a child once.  Might as well live it up!

Miss H is wearing her fake smile here, she was not too happy that she was sitting next to the statues head, but was trying to please her big sister.  It was a cute exchange.  I wish I could videotape their entire life, savor each moment forever.
