One Fun Easter

Easter was a fun one!   Miss E woke up early, got showered, got dressed and then woke up Miss H, so that they could hunt for their hidden easter baskets.  Miss E's was hiding in the closet behind her coat and Miss H's was hiding behind the curtain in the dinning room.

Silly Putty was our Favorite.  The girls favorites were their new flip flops.  (and probably the candy)

After church we headed to Grammies house, while we waited for all the cousins, Miss H took a nap and Dad took Miss E on a canoe ride.  I sat in the sun and read a book.  It was delightful.

( I also got a canoe ride! )

Kyle took Miss E all around the pond and they almost got wet in the fountain.  They went under the willow tree and had a great time.  After, Miss E took her basket in search of wildlife and flowers, still a bit too early in the season for either but she had a great hunt.

14 cousins geared up for the easter egg hunt..... Little ones went first, good thing too!  Look at all those big kidlets. The girls youngest cousin ... Little Baby Louie...is not pictured.

Miss H enjoying her easter candy booty.

Miss E Showing her eggs.  I love her smile in this photo & the little twinkle in her eye.

(Miss H is busy with serious deliciousness)

It was a great night.  Grammie and Grandpa topped the night off with a new swimsuit for each child.  As if the kids needed any more spoiling.  But holidays aren't too often, so might as well enjoy. Right?  Right!

We feel so blessed to be able to celebrate our Saviors Resurrection and Sacrifice for us with our family.  It was a perfect day, just as I imagine the day that Christ was Resurrected.  Can't  you just picture that morning near His Tomb.  Mary Magdalene weeping because her Savior was gone?  And then he says, "Why weepest thou?"  Here is a beautiful video about His Resurrection.  I think we are going to start  Family Home Evening tomorrow night with this video.   Its beautiful, but I guess I already said that :)  Happy Easter!

Rock On.

Miss H put a sing-a-long concert for me.  We rocked "twinkle twinkle little star" "ABC's" "Book of Mormon Stories" and "OH YEA!" (that last one is a song Miss H made up)

Dang!  She is cute!

(Miss E had a dr appointment yesterday, and my dear friend watched Miss H, went I came to pick her up, my friend was playing the guitar and Miss H was playing the ukulele.  It was awesome!
Halie was SO THRILLED, A REAL "INSRAMNT"

Backyard fun, oh happy spring!

I think we are just a little excited to finally be outside, without jackets. (well I was wearing one, but they were too excited to wait for unnecessary things like shoes and coats-can't blame them!)

Conference Weekend

Isn't General Conference AMAZING.  As always I think, This session was my favorite!  I think I have too many favorites in life.  Oh well, it makes me happy!  I know that technology was inspired so that the gospel of Christ could be spread throughout the world.  What an amazing blessing.  The girls are still to young to go to a session in the conference center and so we went to the church history center and visited their kid section.  The girls loved it.  We usually go to Utah for Conference,  I think it make conference an EVENT!  Making Memories!!

Miss E especially loved her packet this session.  I was amazed at how well she sat and listened.  She did her bingo and caught onto things that I missed.  We are going to take turns teaching FHE from the talks, she is excited to teach her first lesson.  She is growing up so fast.

They had dress up, and the little dolls behind Miss E,  had all sorts of different clothing choices.  Emma told us the story of the Birth of Jesus.

That melts my heart.

Miss E really like the toy figurines of the Nephites and the Lamenites, but they were for just looking at, not playing with :(  Darn.  I want to go back to look at the art.  There are some amazing pieces there.  Hopefully this summer.

Sledding and the snow cave!

Up at "Grammies" cabin, the girls and I had one evening all to ourselves!  It was wonderful.  We played a card game and twister, at dinner, made crepes for breakfast the next day, and of course went sledding!  After about an hour and a half (I can't believe the girls lasted so long!)  Little Miss H lost her snow boot in the snow, so we made a hasty retreat to a warm bath.  All better :)

The girls made a little home (Miss E was directing the story) out in the "wilderness"  They both had homes at the bottom of trees, and the meadow was their school.   Adorable.

The next day, the big cousins made a snow cave for the little kids.  They LOVED it.  I think they spent more time out in the cave then in the house that day.  I love that the older kids would be so great to the younger ones.  What an amazing family we are blessed with.

AND ONE VERY EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT......

I GOT A CAMERA!

HOOOOORAYYYYYYYY!!!!!! now I can update a ton more because I'm not using the sad little camera on my phone!  I am SO SO VERY INCREDIBLY HAPPY about this!

WOW! I am one LUCKY mom!

The other day Miss H and I were driving down the road and she starts singing, (at the TOP of her lungs) "I LOVE MY MOM, MY MOM IS BEST!"  over and over.  How in all the world did I get to be the mom to have her?  She melts my heart every day.

I know it should be gross to see the food in her mouth, but even that is cute.

I mean, seriously, I love this girl.

Costa Vida!

Mr cooper has been busy! He just finished building a Costa Vida and is getting ready to build some more! So during restaurant building time he is busy busy but we are grateful :)

Pretty fantastic inside!

And we went and voted... We brought the girls along for a little patriotic education. Miss E enjoyed it, but Miss H is still a bit young. Oh well, it was still a great experience!

Miss E took our photos of the night

She's pretty adorable. But I'm very biased.

And finally this is just a cute picture of Miss H one rainy day...

I'm looking forward to picnics because.... Burrrrrrr! It snowed today & it's the first day of spring. March snow brings may flowers? Is that how the poem goes? It is getting greener & that is beautiful!

We went to temple square in October, we almost always head down to utah for conference weekend, and watch conference in the mountains at my parents cabin.
The Monday after we skipped school and spent a couple of hours at temple square, just our little family. We loved it.

We could have spent another 2 hours there but the drive ahead of us was getting a latter & latter start:( what a great weekend!

Skiing!!

There is no snow but that didn't inhibit us too much. It turned out as a perfect instruction week for the girls...

Miss H is still plenty young to really ski - she can't at all figure out how to make the pizza wedge- but we made it work, Kyle would ski with her attached to his leg
like this...

And in would put her between my legs and she felt like she was skiing. I placed my hands at her side to steady and guide her but Most of the time she would put all her weight on my hands and just hang there - her own little ride down the mountain. On spots that were pretty flat (so she couldn't gain speed) we let her ski without our help, and she LOVED it! At one point she accidentally turned right at went off the hill before I could catch her and she landed in a little puff of a snow bank, I went down right after trying to catch. Her. It took a good 10 minutes for us to get out. Afterwards we decided that hot chocolate in the cabin would be our next action!

Miss E really took off this last week! It was amazing! From barely linking her turn to keeping up with the older kids! Going off jumps without any fear!

She's so little that one jump (at the bottom before the jump slopes upward) she got stuck in the ditch! She laughed and laughed! Then a boy came to help her, he offered his pole and when she went to pull herself out he toppled over on top of her! Then they were both laughing- phew! I was afraid it would be a deal breaker. She also spun around while skiing. She was going a bit too fast and tried to make the pizza wedge but her ski got stuck in someone else's track! Her legs went wide and to the right, she put her hands down to steady herself and that spun her all the way around!!!!! When she was headed back down hill she just stood herself back up straight and continued on!! We called it her first 360! She loved it! And she kept on trying to replicate the action but without success. Oh well it was great fun the first time!

We decided next time we go out she needs poles & a helmet!

Kyle was ingenious with the sled, we used it all week!

I love skiing with my children. (I love skiing period) but with my girls it's so special to see them enjoy their success- to sit with them on the chair lifts and be silly together. To watch them progress and fall in love with one of my favorite sports. What a wonderful week!!!
